| Watercolor Field Trip: |
On Sunday April 26, we will be doing a field trip to view the 157th International Exhibition of the American Watercolor Society. As this trip will constitute a class session for the semester; we will NOT be meeting on Tuesday April 21st. The exhibit takes place at The Salmagundi Club, located at 47 Fifth Ave in New York City. This gallery is located in the heart of New York’s Greenwich Village, near NYU. Students will be responsible for transporting themselves to and from the show. There is no admission price to this show. Students may be accompanied by friends or family members, who are welcome to attend. The session will be rolling, with students required to show up and stay for an hour sometime between 1pm and 3pm. Students who cannot attend on this date, will need to take in the exhibit on their own time. The show opens on April 7 and runs through May 1st. The gallery is open Tuesday through Sundays starting at 1pm, but will have limited hours April 30 and May 1st. Print out a copy of this set of notes and use it to record some of your impressions of the show during your visit. Students unable to attend during that entire window should discuss this with instructor.
